Who we are...

Hope Kenya is a not-for profit faith based service organization based in Kansas, U.S.A

Our mission is to research and implement self sustainable community programs, that help poor families break the cycle of poverty.

We work with local leaders, use local resources and identify game changers the could significantly change the calculus of village economics. We then bring our  American partners along to implement and track the programs.

Our focus is in three key areas that have a lasting effect on villages life: Education, Health and Economics

Education: The early childhood education program  enables kids  from poor families to qualify for the Kenyan government's primary school program where they receive 8 years of free primary school education. Absent the assistance,  these families would be left out of the 'system'.

Micro Credit: Hope Kenya's self-sustaining micro-credit program  is designed to enable  families to learn and implement economic enterprises using local resources.  

Public Health: Our approach to public health is non-traditional. Sustainable community health is the focus of the Hope Community Center, where health outreach is performed. We partner with local and international health groups to research, implement and track proven health strategies.

Effective public health strategies are a critical determinant of economic health - the reason for the integration of our holistic approach in education, health and economics.

Hope Community's local public health officer works closely with local women groups, hospitals, schools and international partners to lay the foundation for health.

God continues to bless America even during 'hard times'...

We have been commissioned to encourage and provide opportunities for Americans to experience the joy and freedom of bringing Hope to the world through creative and innovative approaches to community development that include education, health and economics.
